How I quit my job and never looked back!

I was scared, but I did it anyway.

2 and a half years ago I walked away from my W2 job. I had been building my online business in my spare time, but it hadn’t replaced my income…yet.

It was nearing the autumn after covid and my kids would be going back to school. The school was still unsure of what “school” would be like. They instituted a Green, Yellow, Red policy that meant there was a chance that without much notice we could be schooling from home again…on their terms.

I couldn’t bare to think about going through that chaos again while working 40 hours a week.

I decided to homeschool 3 of my kids (the younger ones that needed more guidance). And in order to do that, I would HAVE to find a way to make money from home.

I was TERRIFIED!

I remember one day I was so frightened the left side of my face was going numb from clenching my jaw so much. My breathing was shallow. My shoulders were in constant tension.

I needed a plan and I needed it fast. I gave myself and my employer 90 days notice so I could get my business in order.

I hired a coach because I wasn’t wanting to fart around with trial and error.

She was a true God send in that moment. She helped me realize what skills I had that people needed. it was a shock to me how many things I took for granted because they came naturally and I didn’t realize other people needed help in those areas… and would PAY me!

In less than 90 days I had replaced my income. I homeschooled until 1-2 pm each day and worked my business in the evenings.

Once I experienced the freedom of working for myself…I COULD NOT LOOK BACK!

I don’t recommend this “Do or Die” strategy for everyone, but it is what I needed to force myself to see what had been in front of me the entire time.
